DESKTOP SPECIFICATIONS

This document serves as a guide to the features necessary to successfully logon and use the Enertex Express interactive list processing system. This document does not in any way infer that your corporate policies and procedures should not be adhered to. It is suggested that you discuss these specifications with your network personnel.

We recommend that a browser other than Microsoft Internet Explorer V.8 be used. We have found that users get better performance and site stability when using Firefox or Chrome. For users with IE version 8 installed, it is recommended that you have a minimum of 2 GB of RAM installed in your PC.

There are two major options in your browser that must be set properly.

1. Pop-Up windows must be enabled.

2. Javascript must be not blocked.

Pop-up Windows

To forestall annoying adware and the dangers of malicious scripting, browser manufacturers have given users the ability to block pop-up windows. It's usually in the options menu. The problem is that turning it off globally also cripples valid web sites.

Internet Explorer, Firefox and others allow you to block pop-ups globally, but allow pop-ups on a site-by-site basis. For Internet Explorer go to Tools/Pop-up Blocker and for Firefox go to Tools/Options/Content/Exceptions.

Javascript

Browser manufacturers have given users the ability to block scripts (javascript). It's usually in the options menu. The problem is that turning it off globally also cripples valid web sites.

Internet Explorer, Firefox and others allow you to block scripts globally, but allow exceptions. Firefox has a plug-in that allows you to turn off scripting, but turn it back on selectively.I further recommend installing the NoScript plug-in for Firefox, which gives the user the opportunity to say which javascripts will be allowed to run on a site: http://noscript.net/. It's freeware.

For Internet Explorer, follow these steps:

1. Click the Tools menu.

2. Select Internet Options.

3. Click the Security tab.

4. Click the Custom Level button.

5. Scroll down until you see the 'Scripting' section. Select the 'Enable' radio button for 'Active Scripting.'

6. Click the OK button.

7. Click the Yes button in the confirmation window.

For Firefox follow these steps:

1. Click the Tools menu.

2. Select Options.

3. Click the Contents tab.

4. Select the 'Enable JavaScript' checkbox.

5. Click the OK button.

Another recommended option is to add our site to your browsers Trusted sites list.

1. Click the Tools menu.

2. Select Internet Options.

3. Click the Security tab.

4. Click on Trusted sites Zone.

5. Click on the Sites button

6. Add the site http://www.enertexexpress.com to the list. Note: uncheck the “Require server verification” box
